Elementary Lottery & Kindergarten Enrollment is opening!

The Columbus Municipal School District lottery enrollment for 2024 – 2025 will open on Monday, May 20, 2024. The 2024 – 2025 application window will open on Monday, May 20, 2024, and close on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

Elementary Lottery – Who Should Apply?

  • Students who will be in KINDERGARTEN for the 2024-2025 school year

  • Current students’ parents wishing to make a change in their school assignment

  • Students new to CMSD (transferring from other districts)

Kindergarten Registration:

Students must be FIVE years old on or before September 1, 2024, to be eligible for the Kindergarten Program.

Required documents for registration:

  • Certified Birth Certificate

  • MS Form 121 shot record

  • Parent’s state-issued/government ID or Passport

  • Two proofs of residency (refer to our district website for more information)
